न ते5पराधमिह वै दृष्टवानस्मि सुव्रत । प्रीतो5स्मि तव गोविन्द वृणु कामान् यथेप्सितान्
na te 'parādham iha vai dṛṣṭavān asmi suvrata | prīto 'smi tava govinda vṛṇu kāmān yathepsitān ||
Vāyu-deva dit : «Ô toi qui demeures ferme dans les vœux nobles, je n’ai vraiment vu ici aucune faute en toi. Je suis satisfait de toi, Govinda. Demande donc les désirs que tu veux.»
वायुदेव उवाच
The verse highlights ethical discernment and self-mastery: when one has conquered anger and is found free of wrongdoing, the righteous response is approval and benevolence (here, the offering of a boon), not blame or retaliation.
Vāyu-deva addresses Govinda (Kṛṣṇa), declares that he has detected no offense on Kṛṣṇa’s part in the present situation, expresses satisfaction, and invites him to ask for any desired boon.
