अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
Cyavana dit : « Buvons le Soma avec les Aśvins, délivrés de toute fièvre et de toute détresse. » Dans le récit qui l’entoure, les dieux—effrayés des conséquences d’une opposition au sage—se consultèrent et dirent à Indra : « Ô roi des dieux ! Prosterne-toi devant le brahmane éminent, Cyavana (il n’est pas bon de le contrarier). Alors nous pourrons, en sûreté, boire le Soma avec les jumeaux Aśvin. »
