Mahabharata — Anushasana Parva, Shloka 25
नन्दी श्वरो महाकायो ग्रामणीर्वृषभध्वज: । ईश्वरा: सर्वलोकानां गणेश्व॒रविनायका:
nandīśvaro mahākāyo grāmaṇī vṛṣabhadhvajaḥ | īśvarāḥ sarvalokānāṃ gaṇeśvaravināyakāḥ, kīrtayan prayataḥ sarvān sarvapāpaiḥ pramucyate |
Bhīṣma dit : « Celui qui, maître de lui-même et l’intention pure, récite les noms de Śiva — Nandīśvara, le grand de corps, le chef des troupes, celui dont l’étendard porte le taureau ; le Seigneur de tous les mondes ; Gaṇeśvara et Vināyaka —, oui, quiconque loue ainsi toutes ces puissances divines est délivré de tout péché. »
