यशः प्राप्नोति विपुलं ज्ञातिप्राधान्यमेव च । अचलां श्रियमाप्रोति श्रेय: प्राप्रोत्यनुत्तमम्‌

yaśaḥ prāpnoti vipulaṁ jñāti-prādhānyam eva ca | acalāṁ śriyam āpnoti śreyaḥ prāpnoty anuttamam || yo bhaktimān puruṣaḥ sadā prātaḥ-kāle utthāya snātvā pavitraḥ san manasā viṣṇuṁ dhyāyan idaṁ vāsudeva-sahasra-nāma suṣṭhu paṭhati, sa mahad yaśaḥ prāpnoti, jātiṣu māhātmyaṁ prāpnoti, acalāṁ sampattiṁ prāpnoti, ati-uttamaṁ kalyāṇaṁ prāpnoti; tasya ca kvacid bhayaṁ na bhavati | sa vīryaṁ tejaś ca prāpnoti, ārogyavān kāntimān balavān rūpavān sarva-guṇa-sampannaś ca bhavati ||

Bhīṣma dit : Il obtient une renommée abondante, et la prééminence parmi les siens. Il acquiert une prospérité inébranlable et le bien suprême. L’homme dévot qui, à l’aube, se lève, se baigne et se purifie, puis médite sur Viṣṇu et récite comme il se doit cet hymne aux mille noms de Vāsudeva, gagne grande gloire, honneur dans sa lignée, richesse stable et le plus excellent bien-être ; nulle crainte ne s’élève pour lui en aucun lieu. Il reçoit vigueur et éclat intérieur, et devient sain, rayonnant, fort, beau et comblé de toutes les vertus.
