कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
एष देवि सतां धर्मो मन्तव्यो भूतिकारक: । नृणां हितार्थाय मया तव वै समुदाह्ृत:
eṣa devi satāṁ dharmo mantavyo bhūtikārakaḥ | nṛṇāṁ hitārthāya mayā tava vai samudāhṛtaḥ ||
Maheśvara dit : «Ô Déesse, voici le dharma des vertueux ; il doit être tenu pour une source de véritable bien-être et d’épanouissement. Pour le bien des êtres humains, je t’ai exposé cet enseignement avec clarté et dans sa plénitude, ô Déesse.»
श्रीमहेश्वर उवाच
The dharma followed by the virtuous should be accepted as inherently welfare-producing; the speaker frames the teaching as meant for the good of all humans.
Maheshvara addresses Devī and concludes or reinforces an instruction by stating that what has been taught is the dharma of the good, expounded for the benefit of humankind.
