कल्मषापहर-कीर्तनम् / Kīrtana for the Removal of Impurity
न हि प्राणै: प्रियतमं लोके किंचन विद्यते । तस्मात् प्राणिदया कार्या यथा55त्मनि तथा परे ।।
na hi prāṇaiḥ priyatamaṃ loke kiṃcana vidyate | tasmāt prāṇi-dayā kāryā yathātmani tathā pare ||
«En ce monde, rien n’est plus cher que son propre souffle de vie. C’est pourquoi la compassion envers les êtres vivants doit être pratiquée : comme on souhaite pour soi bonté et protection, ainsi faut-il accorder la même chose aux autres.»
