नानाशकुनिसम्भोज्यै: फलैरव॑क्षेरलंकृतम्‌ । यथास्थानविनिक्षिप्तैर्भूषितं भस्मराशिभि:

Transliteration

nānā-śakuni-sambhojyaiḥ phalair avakṣer alaṅkṛtam | yathā-sthāna-vinikṣiptair bhūṣitaṃ bhasma-rāśibhiḥ ||

Translation

Vāsudeva dit : L’ermitage était orné de maintes sortes de fruits propres à nourrir diverses espèces d’oiseaux, et d’arbres qui en étaient chargés. Des tas de cendre, déposés à leur place, rehaussaient encore sa beauté austère : signes d’une vie de discipline et de rites sacrés, plutôt que d’un ornement mondain.
