तस्य दोषान् प्रवक्ष्यामि तच्छुणुध्वं समाहिता: । अग्नि बोले--जो दुर्बुद्धि मनुष्य लात उठाकर उससे गौका
tasya doṣān pravakṣyāmi tac chṛṇudhvaṃ samāhitāḥ |
Dharma dit : «Je vais maintenant exposer les fautes (péchés et démérites) qui naissent d’une telle conduite. Écoutez d’un esprit recueilli.» Dans le contexte, il s’apprête à énumérer les lourdes conséquences éthiques encourues par un insensé qui, par arrogance, frappe du pied et vient à toucher une vache, un brāhmaṇa vénérable ou un feu ardent — actes tenus pour de graves violations du dharma.
