कुट॒म्बार्थे समानीतं यर्त्किंचित् कार्यमेव तु । प्रातरुत्थाय तत्सर्व कारयामि करोमि च,'सारे कुट॒म्बके लिये जो कुछ कार्य आ पड़ता, वह सब मैं सबेरे ही उठकर कर-करा लेती थी
kuṭambārthe samānītaṃ yat kiṃcit kāryam eva tu | prātar utthāya tat sarvaṃ kārayāmi karomi ca ||
Bhishma dit : «Quelque tâche que ce fût, si petite fût-elle, survenant pour le bien du foyer, je me levais dès l’aube et veillais à tout—tantôt en la faisant faire, tantôt en la faisant moi-même.»
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma is expressed through diligent, timely, and responsible care for one’s household: one should not neglect even small duties, and should both supervise and personally contribute where needed.
In Bhishma’s discourse on conduct (Anushasana Parva), the speaker describes a model of household management—rising early and ensuring that all family-related tasks are completed, whether by arranging them or doing them personally.
