Adhyāya 122 — Śruta-vṛtta-yukta Brāhmaṇa and the Ethics of Dāna
Maitreya–Vyāsa Saṃvāda
राजपुत्र सुखं प्राप्य क्रतूंश्चैवाप्तदक्षिणान् । अथ मोदिष्यसे स्वर्गे ब्रह्मभूतो5व्यय: सुखी
rājaputra sukhaṃ prāpya kratūṃś caivāptadakṣiṇān | atha modiṣyase svarge brahmabhūto 'vyayaḥ sukhī ||
Vyāsa dit : «Ô prince, après avoir obtenu les plaisirs du monde et accompli des sacrifices pourvus des honoraires rituels (dakṣiṇā) dûment offerts, tu te réjouiras au ciel. Ensuite, devenu un avec Brahman—impérissable et paisible—tu feras l’expérience d’une béatitude sans fin.»
