वंशानुकीर्तनम् — Genealogical Recitation from Dakṣa to Yayāti and the Establishment of the Paurava Line
प्रेक्षमाणो वन॑ तत् तु सुप्रहृष्टविहड्रमम् । आश्रमप्रवरं रम्यं ददर्श च मनोरमम्,इस प्रकार राजा अभी वनकी शोभा देख ही रहे थे कि उनकी दृष्टि एक उत्तम आश्रमपर पड़ी, जो अत्यन्त रमणीय और मनोरम था। वहाँ बहुत-से पक्षी हर्षोल्लासमें भरकर चहक रहे थे
prekṣamāṇo vanaṁ tat tu suprahṛṣṭavihaṅgamam | āśramapravaraṁ ramyaṁ dadarśa ca manoramam ||
Tandis que le roi continuait de contempler la beauté de cette forêt, son regard tomba sur un ermitage d’exception, charmant et délicieux à voir, où de nombreux oiseaux, pleins d’allégresse, chantaient. La scène indique discrètement l’atmosphère morale de l’āśrama : un lieu de retenue, de paix et d’ordre dharmique, à l’écart de l’agitation du monde.
