स हि सर्वस्य लोकस्य हितमात्मन एव च | चिकीर्षन् सुमहातेजा रेमे भरतसत्तम,भरतश्रेष्ठ! महातेजस्वी राजा युधिष्ठिर सब लोगोंका और अपना भी हित करनेकी चेष्टामें लगे रहकर सदा प्रसन्नतापूर्वक समय बिताते थे
sa hi sarvasya lokasya hitam ātmana eva ca | cikīrṣan sumahātejā reme bharatasattama ||
Car ce puissant héros recherchait le bien de tout le monde autant que le sien. Ô meilleur des Bharata, le roi Yudhiṣṭhira, à l’âme grande, toujours appliqué à faire ce qui est bénéfique, passait son temps dans un contentement paisible—trouvant sa joie dans le dessein juste plutôt que dans le simple plaisir.
