तस्या गात्रे निपतिता दृष्टिस्तेषां महात्मनाम् । सर्वेषामेव भूयिष्ठमृते देवं पितामहम्,उस समय देवाधिदेव ब्रह्माजीको छोड़कर शेष सभी महानुभावोंकी दृष्टि तिलोत्तमाके शरीरपर बार-बार पड़ने लगी
tasyā gātre nipatitā dṛṣṭis teṣāṃ mahātmanām | sarveṣām eva bhūyiṣṭham ṛte devaṃ pitāmaham ||
Nārada dit : Le regard de ces âmes magnanimes se posa sur son corps ; oui, encore et encore, les yeux de tous se tournaient avec le plus d’insistance vers elle—à l’exception du divin Aïeul, Brahmā.
नारद उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical contrast between being overpowered by sensory attraction and maintaining inner restraint; Brahmā is presented as the exemplar of detachment, while others—even great beings—momentarily succumb to fascination.
As Tilottamā appears, the assembled great beings repeatedly fix their gaze upon her body; only Brahmā (the Pitāmaha) is described as not being drawn in the same way, emphasizing his superior composure.
