समन्तपञ्चक-आख्यानम् तथा अक्षौहिणी-प्रमाणनिर्णयः

गृहीत्वा हरणं प्राप्ते कृष्णे देवकिनन्दने । अभिमन्यो: सुभद्रायां जन्म चोत्तमतेजस:,तदनन्तर देवकीनन्दन भगवान् श्रीकृष्णके दहेज लेकर पाण्डवोंके पास पहुँचनेकी और सुभद्राके गर्भसे परम तेजस्वी वीर बालक अभिमन्युके जन्मकी कथा है
gṛhītvā haraṇaṃ prāpte kṛṣṇe devakīnandane | abhimanyoḥ subhadrāyāṃ janma cottamatejasaḥ |
Après avoir pris la richesse nuptiale (dot) et être arrivé parmi les Pāṇḍava, Kṛṣṇa—le bienheureux fils de Devakī—devient l’occasion de l’événement suivant : du sein de Subhadrā naît le héros Abhimanyu, d’une splendeur souveraine. Le récit souligne la continuité du devoir familial et l’édification des alliances, où le mariage légitime et les liens de parenté deviennent le terreau d’où surgiront les futurs protecteurs du dharma.
