उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
कौस्तुभस्तु मणिर्दिव्य उत्पन्नो घृत्सम्भव: । मरीचिविकच: श्रीमान् नारायण उरोगत:,फिर अनन्त किरणोंसे समुज्ज्वल दिव्य कौस्तुभभणिका उस जललसे प्रादुर्भाव हुआ, जो भगवान् नारायणके वक्ष:स्थलपर सुशोभित हुई

kaustubhas tu maṇir divya utpanno ghṛta-sambhavaḥ |
marīci-vikacaḥ śrīmān nārāyaṇa uro-gataḥ ||
Puis apparut le joyau divin Kaustubha —né de la riche essence du barattage—, rayonnant de lueurs qui se déployaient et splendide de beauté. Il vint se poser sur la poitrine de Nārāyaṇa, où il brilla comme l’emblème de Sa souveraineté et de Son auspice.
