Transliteration

Vaiśampāyana uvāca | gavye viṣāṇakoṣe ca cale rajjv-avalambini | nicakhāna mahāvīryaḥ sāyakān ekaviṃśatim ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana dit : Dans la corne percée préparée pour l’épreuve—suspendue à une corde et oscillant—Arjuna, d’une vaillance immense, enfonça vingt et une flèches de suite dans l’orifice. L’exploit manifeste une concentration et une maîtrise intactes malgré l’instabilité—marque de l’excellence du kṣatriya lorsqu’elle sert une fin juste.
