Adi Parva 135: The Miner’s Warning and Construction of the Escape Passage
भ्रमतश्न॒ वराहस्य लोहस्य प्रमुखे समम् । पज्च बाणानसंयुक्तान् सम्मुमोचैकबाणवत्,रंगभूमिमें लोहेका बना हुआ सूअर इस प्रकार रखा गया था कि वह सब ओर चक्कर लगा रहा था। उस घूमते हुए सूअरके मुखमें अर्जुनने एक ही साथ एक बाणकी भाँति पाँच बाण मारे। वे पाँचों बाण एक-दूसरेसे सटे हुए नहीं थे
bhramataś ca varāhasya lohasya pramukhe samam | pañca bāṇān asaṁyuktān sammumocaika-bāṇavat ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : Tandis que le sanglier de fer tournoyait, Arjuna décocha cinq flèches d’un seul geste, comme si c’eût été un seul trait, et frappa droit dans sa gueule. Bien que tirées en un instant, les cinq flèches ne se collèrent pas l’une à l’autre ; chacune atteignit sa marque avec une précision propre—preuve d’une maîtrise disciplinée, non d’une force irréfléchie.
