Āstravidyā-Pradarśana: The Kuru Princes’ Public Demonstration of Arms (आस्त्रविद्या-प्रदर्शनम्)
संरम्भो हि सपत्नीत्वाद् वक्तुं कुन्तिसुतां प्रति । यदि तु त्व॑ं प्रसन्नो मे स्वयमेनां प्रचोदय,“सौत होनेके कारण मेरे मनमें एक अभिमान है, जो कुन्तीदेवीसे कुछ निवेदन करनेमें बाधक हो रहा है; अत: यदि आप मुझपर प्रसन्न हों तो आप स्वयं ही मेरे लिये कुन्तीदेवीको प्रेरित कीजिये”
saṃrambho hi sapatnītvād vaktuṃ kuntīsutāṃ prati | yadi tu tvaṃ prasanno me svayam enāṃ pracodaya ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dit : «À cause de la rivalité née du statut de coépouse, un orgueil mêlé d’amertume s’élève en moi et m’empêche de m’adresser directement au fils de Kuntī. Aussi, si tu m’es favorable, c’est toi-même qui dois l’exhorter en mon nom.»
