The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras

Educational Q&A

The verse emphasizes practical wisdom: by giving up restless agitation and acting with steady effort, one attains desired results with minimal suffering; for a king, striving for tangible welfare includes securing virtuous, joy-giving progeny.

Vaiśampāyana addresses a king, encouraging him to pursue a visible, worldly good—namely the attainment of virtuous offspring—while advising a calm, non-agitated mindset as the means to successful outcomes.
