The Birth of Kṛpa and Kṛpī; Kṛpa’s Attainment of Astras
महानदीनितम्बांश्न गहनान् गिरिगह्दरान् । सन्ति नित्यहिमा देशा निर्वक्षमृगपक्षिण:
mahānadī-nitambāṁś ca gahanān giri-gahvarān | santi nitya-himā deśā nirvṛkṣa-mṛga-pakṣiṇaḥ ||
Vaiśampāyana dit : «Sur cette route, nous avons vu les rives périlleuses de grands fleuves et bien des ravins de montagne profonds. Il est ici des régions où la neige demeure à jamais—des lieux si désolés qu’il n’y a point d’arbres, et pas même la présence de bêtes ou d’oiseaux.»
