अविमुक्तक्षेत्रमाहात्म्य — काशी-वाराणसी में मोक्ष, लिङ्ग-तीर्थ-मानचित्र, और उपासना-विधि

श्रुतिमद्भिश् च विप्रेन्द्रैः संसिद्धैश् च तपस्विभिः प्रतिमासं तथाष्टम्यां प्रतिमासं चतुर्दशीम्

śrutimadbhiś ca viprendraiḥ saṃsiddhaiś ca tapasvibhiḥ pratimāsaṃ tathāṣṭamyāṃ pratimāsaṃ caturdaśīm

Et par des brahmanes connaissant les Veda—les plus éminents parmi les deux-fois-nés—ainsi que par des ascètes accomplis, l’observance est maintenue chaque mois : au huitième jour lunaire (aṣṭamī) et, de même, chaque mois au quatorzième (caturdaśī), temps sacrés pour adorer Pati (le Seigneur Śiva), qui desserre les liens (pāśa) du paśu (l’âme individuelle).
