Suta Goswami (narrating a graha-śānti phala for Śiva-arcana within the Purva-Bhāga discourse)
It frames Śiva-arcana as a protective sādhana: even graha-pīḍā (planetary affliction) and ghora-bhaya are to be warded off for the Śiva-arcaka, implying Śiva’s grace operates over worldly constraints.
By implying that planetary forces can be pacified in the orbit of Śiva-bhakti, it points to Śiva as Pati—the sovereign Lord—before whom secondary cosmic powers become supportive rather than binding for the pashu (individual soul).
Graha-śānti as an auxiliary fruit of Śiva-pūjā (especially liṅga-arcana): devotion and worship function as a remedial discipline that reduces pasha-like pressures such as fear and karmic disturbance signified by the grahas.
