शिवार्चनविधिः — देवतानां पाशुपतव्रतप्राप्तिः तथा पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् (अध्याय ८०)
क्वचिदशेषसुरद्रुमसंकुलं कुरबकैः प्रियकैस्तिलकैस् तथा बहुकदम्बतमाललतावृतं गिरिवरं शिखरैर्विविधैस् तथा
kvacidaśeṣasuradrumasaṃkulaṃ kurabakaiḥ priyakaistilakais tathā bahukadambatamālalatāvṛtaṃ girivaraṃ śikharairvividhais tathā
En certains lieux, cette montagne d’excellence était serrée de toutes sortes d’arbres divins, ornée de fleurs de kurabaka, priyaka et tilaka. Ailleurs, elle se trouvait enveloppée de nombreuses lianes de kadamba et de tamāla, et se dressait en sommets aux formes diverses. Un tel paysage consacré convient à la présence de Śiva—le Pati—où les âmes paśu trouvent l’apaisement et où les liens paśa commencent à se desserrer par la vision sacrée et la mémoire dévotionnelle.
