Shloka 60

शिवार्चनविधिः — देवतानां पाशुपतव्रतप्राप्तिः तथा पशुपाशविमोक्षणम् (अध्याय ८०)

यः श्रावयेच्छुचिर् विप्राञ् छृणुयाद्वा शुचिर्नरः स देहभेदमासाद्य पशुपाशैः प्रमुच्यते

yaḥ śrāvayecchucir viprāñ chṛṇuyādvā śucirnaraḥ sa dehabhedamāsādya paśupāśaiḥ pramucyate

L’homme pur qui fait entendre cet enseignement à des brāhmanes purs, ou qui l’écoute lui-même avec pureté—lorsque le corps se défait, il est délivré des liens (pāśa) qui enchaînent le paśu (l’âme individuelle).
