digvāraṇānāmadhipaṃ cakāra gajendram airāvatam ugravīryam /* suparṇamīśaṃ patatāmathāśvarājānamuccaiḥśravasaṃ cakāra
Il établit le puissant Airāvata, l’éléphant royal, comme souverain des éléphants des directions ; et fit de Suparṇa (Garuḍa) le maître des oiseaux. De même, il institua Uccaiḥśravas roi des chevaux. Ainsi le Seigneur (Pati), par son ordre, distribue rangs et puissances dans la création, liant les êtres (paśu) à leurs fonctions prescrites par le karma et la loi cosmique (pāśa).
