Shloka 44

युगधर्मवर्णनम् — चतुर्युग, गुण, धर्मपाद, तथा वार्तोत्पत्ति

विपर्ययेण चौषध्यः प्रनष्टास्ताश्चतुर्दश मत्वा धरां प्रविष्टास्ता इत्यौषध्यः पितामहः

viparyayeṇa cauṣadhyaḥ pranaṣṭāstāścaturdaśa matvā dharāṃ praviṣṭāstā ityauṣadhyaḥ pitāmahaḥ

Par un renversement cosmique, on crut que les herbes médicinales—ces quatorze—avaient péri. L’ayant compris, elles entrèrent dans la Terre; et ainsi Pitāmaha (Brahmā) parla au sujet des herbes.
