Āvāhāryaka-Śrāddha: Qualifications of Recipients, Paṅkti-Pāvana, and Exclusions

श्रुतिविक्रयिणो ये तु परपूर्वासमुद्भवाः / असमानान् याजयन्ति पतितास्ते प्रकीर्तिताः

śrutivikrayiṇo ye tu parapūrvāsamudbhavāḥ / asamānān yājayanti patitāste prakīrtitāḥ

Mais ceux qui trafiquent du Veda (le savoir sacré), qui proviennent d’une lignée hors du juste ordre des ancêtres, et qui officient des sacrifices pour des personnes qui ne sont pas leurs égales—ceux-là sont déclarés « déchus ».
