Dharma of Non-Injury, Non-Stealing, Purity, and Avoidance of Hypocrisy (Ācāra and Saṅkarya-Nivṛtti)
देवतायतनं प्राज्ञो देवानां चैव सत्रिणाम् / नाक्रामेत् कामतश्छायां ब्राह्मणानां च गोरपि
devatāyatanaṃ prājño devānāṃ caiva satriṇām / nākrāmet kāmataśchāyāṃ brāhmaṇānāṃ ca gorapi
Le sage ne doit pas manquer de respect au sanctuaire des divinités (temple), ni aux enceintes sacrées des dieux et de ceux qui accomplissent les rites sacrificiels. Et qu’il ne foule pas, par simple caprice, l’ombre d’un brāhmaṇa, ni même l’ombre d’une vache.
