Karma-yoga Discipline for the Twice-born: Upanayana, Upavīta Conduct, Guru-veneration, and Alms-regimen

प्राङ्मुखो ऽन्नानि भुञ्जीत सूर्याभिमुख एव वा / नाद्यादुदङ्मुखो नित्यं विधिरेष सनातनः

prāṅmukho 'nnāni bhuñjīta sūryābhimukha eva vā / nādyādudaṅmukho nityaṃ vidhireṣa sanātanaḥ

Qu’il mange tourné vers l’est, ou bien face au soleil. Qu’il ne mange jamais habituellement tourné vers le nord. Telle est la règle éternelle de la conduite prescrite.
