Adhyāya 25 — Liṅga-māhātmya (The Chapter on the Liṅga): Hari’s Śiva-Worship and the Fiery Pillar Theophany
अव्यक्तं लिङ्गमित्याहुरानन्दं ज्योतिरक्षरम् / वेदा महेस्वरं देवमाहुर्लिङ्गिनमव्ययम्
avyaktaṃ liṅgamityāhurānandaṃ jyotirakṣaram / vedā mahesvaraṃ devamāhurliṅginamavyayam
Ils déclarent que le Liṅga est non manifesté : une lumière impérissable, de la nature de la béatitude. Les Veda proclament le Dieu Maheśvara comme le Liṅgin, le Seigneur immuable et éternel, qui porte le Liṅga tout en le transcendant.
