Veṅkaṭeśa-Māhātmya: Varāha Prelude, Descent of Śeṣācala, Svāmipuṣkariṇī and the Network of Tīrthas

with Dāna-Lakṣaṇas

FAQs

This verse treats tīrtha-snāna as a valued purifier, while acknowledging that in Kali Yuga access and proper performance become difficult, prompting seekers to rely more on feasible dharmic practices.

Indirectly: by stressing Kali Yuga’s obstacles to traditional purificatory rites, it highlights the need to secure spiritual merit through attainable disciplines that support the soul’s welfare after death.

If pilgrimage bathing is not possible, focus on accessible purity: sincere prayer, ethical conduct, charity, remembrance of Vishnu, and performing whatever rites are feasible with devotion.
