दद्याद्वर्षात्रयोदश्यां मघासु च न संशयः / प्रतिपत्प्रभृतिष्वेवं कन्या दीञ्छ्राद्धदो लभेत्

Transliteration

dadyādvarṣātrayodaśyāṃ maghāsu ca na saṃśayaḥ / pratipatprabhṛtiṣvevaṃ kanyā dīñchrāddhado labhet

Translation

Il faut assurément accomplir le Śrāddha le treizième jour lunaire durant la saison des pluies, et aussi lorsque le nakṣatra Maghā est présent — sans aucun doute. En commençant dès pratipat (le premier jour lunaire) et en suivant ainsi cette règle, l’officiant du Śrāddha obtient une fille comme fruit béni.
