शंखचूड उवाच कालेन योजितं सर्वं कर्मभोगनिबन्धनम् । शुभं हर्षः सुखं दुःखं भयं शोकश्च मङ्‌गलम्

śaṃkhacūḍa uvāca kālena yojitaṃ sarvaṃ karmabhoganibandhanam | śubhaṃ harṣaḥ sukhaṃ duḥkhaṃ bhayaṃ śokaśca maṅ‌galam

Shankhachuda dit : « Tout est ordonné par le Temps (Kala) et lié par l'expérience du Karma de chacun. L'auspice, la joie, le bonheur, la tristesse, la peur, le chagrin et la prospérité — tout est orchestré par le Temps. »
