Kapila’s Advent: Brahmā’s Confirmation, the Marriage of the Nine Daughters, and Kardama’s Renunciation
Kardama Muni encouraged his wife not to be sorry, thinking herself unfortunate, because the Supreme Personality of Godhead, by His incarnation, was going to come from her body.
This verse states that the imperishable Supreme Lord will soon enter Devahuti’s womb—foretelling the advent of Lord Kapila, who will later teach spiritual wisdom.
Devahuti was distressed and self-blaming; Maitreya consoles her, affirming her blamelessness and assuring her of the Lord’s imminent descent as her son.
When overwhelmed by guilt or despair, remember that sincere devotion invites divine guidance—replace self-condemnation with steady faith and patient perseverance.
