Yamarāja Instructs the Yamadūtas: Supreme Authority, Mahājanas, and the Glory of the Holy Name
evaṁ vimṛśya sudhiyo bhagavaty anante sarvātmanā vidadhate khalu bhāva-yogam te me na daṇḍam arhanty atha yady amīṣāṁ syāt pātakaṁ tad api hanty urugāya-vādaḥ
In this regard Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura quotes the following verse from the prayers of Lord Brahmā ( Bhāg. 10.14.29 ):
Yamarāja states that those who wholeheartedly engage in loving devotion to the unlimited Lord do not deserve his punishment.
After the Viṣṇudūtas stop the Yamadūtas from taking Ajāmila, Yamarāja instructs his servants that true devotees are under the Lord’s protection and that glorifying the Lord destroys sin.
Regularly hear, chant, and speak the Lord’s names and qualities (kīrtana), aligning your life with devotion; this purifies the heart and weakens sinful tendencies.
