Parīkṣit’s Inquiry into Vṛtrāsura’s Bhakti and the Beginning of Citraketu’s Trial
This verse shows that when a devotee asks a proper question with faith, the realized teacher (Śukadeva) appreciates it and gives a meaningful reply—highlighting śraddhā-filled inquiry as a gateway to spiritual understanding.
Because Parīkṣit’s inquiry was sincere and faithful; seeing his śraddhā, Śukadeva welcomed the question and began answering, modeling the ideal guru–disciple exchange in the Bhagavatam.
Approach spiritual study with humility and faith, ask clear questions to authentic teachers or scriptures, and cultivate the sincerity that invites deeper guidance—rather than casual or skeptical curiosity.
