Vṛtrāsura Instructs Indra on Providence and Devotion; The Slaying of Vṛtrāsura
This verse describes a key combat moment: Vṛtrāsura whirls a dreadful iron mace and hurls it at Indra, intensifying the Deva–Asura battle narrative.
Within the storyline of Canto 6, Vṛtrāsura leads the opposing side in the conflict with the devas; the battle unfolds as part of the larger divine arrangement culminating in Vṛtrāsura’s celebrated spiritual destination.
Even amid intense struggle and opposition, one should act with steadiness and purpose—remembering that outcomes ultimately rest with the Supreme, while one’s duty is sincere effort and inner alignment with dharma.
