तस्मादकीर्तियशसोर्जयापजययोरपि । सम: स्यात्सुखदु:खाभ्यां मृत्युजीवितयोस्तथा ॥ १४ ॥

Transliteration

tasmād akīrti-yaśasor jayāpajayayor api samaḥ syāt sukha-duḥkhābhyāṁ mṛtyu-jīvitayos tathā

Translation

Puisque tout dépend de la volonté suprême de la Personnalité de Dieu, il faut demeurer égal dans la renommée et le déshonneur, la victoire et la défaite, la vie et la mort; et, dans leurs effets de joie et de peine, rester en équilibre, sans anxiété.
