Les averses d’armes et de flèches lancées pour tuer les soldats des devas ne les atteignirent pas, car les devas, d’une main prompte, les tranchèrent dans le ciel en milliers de morceaux.
It says the devas, being swift and expert, intercepted and shattered the incoming torrents of weapons mid-flight, so they never reached the demigod soldiers—showing protection through divinely empowered capability.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī is narrating to King Parīkṣit, describing how the demigods neutralized the enemy’s weapon-showers during the conflict surrounding Vṛtrāsura.
It teaches steadiness under “incoming attacks”: with discipline, alertness, and higher support (prayer and dharma), obstacles can be intercepted early—before they cause harm.
