विचक्षणा यच्चरणोपसादनात् सङ्गं व्युदस्योभयतोऽन्तरात्मन: । विन्दन्ति हि ब्रह्मगतिं गतक्लमा- स्तस्मै सुभद्रश्रवसे नमो नम: ॥ १६ ॥

vicakṣaṇā yac-caraṇopasādanāt saṅgaṁ vyudasyobhayato ’ntar-ātmanaḥ vindanti hi brahma-gatiṁ gata-klamās tasmai subhadra-śravase namo namaḥ

Je m’incline encore et encore devant l’auspicieux Śrī Kṛṣṇa. Les sages, en se réfugiant à Ses pieds de lotus, rejettent les attachements à l’existence présente et future ; sans peine, ils progressent vers la brahma-gati, la condition spirituelle.

Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa has repeatedly instructed Arjuna, or for that matter everyone concerned with becoming His unalloyed devotee. In the last phase of His instruction in the Bhagavad-gītā (18.64-66) He instructed most confidentially as follows:

This verse says that by taking shelter of the Lord’s lotus feet, the wise give up material association externally and internally, and thus attain brahma-gati—spiritual realization.

Śukadeva offers repeated obeisances to the Supreme Lord, whose glories are “subhadra-śrava”—auspicious to hear—because such hearing and surrender purify the heart and lead to liberation.

Regularly hear and chant the Lord’s glories, reduce harmful influences and habits, and cultivate inner renunciation by redirecting attention from cravings to devotion and remembrance.
