Bhāgavata-Māhātmya and the Complete Summary of the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam
This verse states that Dakṣa was born from the Pracetās, and that the many classes of beings—devas, asuras, humans, and other species—expanded through the descendants born from Dakṣa’s daughters.
In the concluding synopsis of the Bhagavatam, Suta Gosvami briefly lists major subjects covered earlier; Dakṣa’s lineage is mentioned as part of the text’s account of cosmic genealogy and the expansion of living beings.
It cultivates humility and a broader vision of life, reminding us that all species share a divinely governed origin and that our human life is meant for dharma and devotion rather than mere rivalry and exploitation.
