The Solar Eclipse at Samanta-pañcaka and the Great Reunion of Yādavas, Pāṇḍavas, and Vraja
At this time, according to Śrīla Viśvanātha Cakravartī, Śrī Vasudeva invited Nanda outside to meet Ugrasena and the other elder Yadus. Taking this opportunity, Rohiṇī and Devakī talked with Queen Yaśodā.
This verse shows Devakī and Rohiṇī embracing Yaśodā and remembering her maitrī—her affectionate friendship and kindness—revealing deep family-like bonds centered on Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma.
They were overwhelmed by remembrance of Yaśodā’s loving care and goodwill, and the emotional reunion made their voices choke with tears.
Cultivate heartfelt gratitude and affectionate support for those who serve and care for others; sincere remembrance of kindness strengthens relationships and softens the heart.
