The Gopīs Glorify the Song of Kṛṣṇa’s Flute
Veṇu-gīta
Śrīla Śrīdhara Svāmī explains that because activities such as those described in this verse do not occur in any other world, the earth is unique. In fact, the earth’s glories are being spread by wonderful Vṛndāvana because it is the place of Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes.
This verse says Vrindavana spreads the fame of the whole earth because it is blessed by Krishna’s lotus feet, making it uniquely fortunate and spiritually powerful.
Hearing Krishna’s flute, the gopīs perceive that all of nature responds in devotion and astonishment; their description reveals how Krishna’s presence awakens bhakti in every living being.
Train the mind to “follow the flute” by regularly hearing and chanting Krishna’s names and pastimes—then everyday surroundings become reminders that draw attention back to devotion.
