Bali Mahārāja Upholds Truth; Vāmana Reveals the Universal Form and Takes the Two Steps

सर्वात्मनीदं भुवनं निरीक्ष्य सर्वेऽसुरा: कश्मलमापुरङ्ग । सुदर्शनं चक्रमसह्यतेजो धनुश्च शार्ङ्गं स्तनयित्नुघोषम् ॥ ३० ॥

sarvātmanīdaṁ bhuvanaṁ nirīkṣya sarve ’surāḥ kaśmalam āpur aṅga sudarśanaṁ cakram asahya-tejo dhanuś ca śārṅgaṁ stanayitnu-ghoṣam

Ô roi, lorsque tous les asuras, partisans de Bali, virent la forme virāṭ du Seigneur, l’Âme de toutes les âmes, contenant l’univers entier en Son corps, lorsqu’ils virent dans Sa main le disque Sudarśana à la chaleur insupportable et entendirent le fracas du grand arc Śārṅga, leurs cœurs furent saisis de lamentation et d’effroi.
