etat payo-vrataṁ nāma puruṣārādhanaṁ param pitāmahenābhihitaṁ mayā te samudāhṛtam

Voici le rite nommé payo-vrata, la plus haute adoration du Puruṣa, la Personne Suprême. Je l’ai reçu de Brahmā, mon aïeul, et je te l’ai maintenant exposé en détail.
