Aditi’s Lament and Kaśyapa’s Instruction of the Payo-vrata (Milk Vow) to Please Keśava
This verse instructs that food offered to the Lord should be honored as prasādam—either given to the Lord’s devotee or accepted oneself—emphasizing sharing sacred remnants as part of bhakti.
He is outlining a complete sequence of devotional service in worship: after offering food, one offers water for rinsing and then tāmbūla, expressing refined etiquette and personal care in service to the Lord.
Offer your meals with devotion, treat the remnants as prasādam, share with devotees or others respectfully, and maintain a thoughtful, orderly worship routine that reflects care and gratitude.
