Sukta 42
परस्परचित्तैकीकरणम्। अव ज्यामिव धन्वनो मन्युं तनोमि ते हृदः । यथा संमनसौ भूत्वा सखायाविव सचावहै
áva jyā́m iva dhánvano manyúṃ tanomi te hṛdáḥ | yáthā sáṃmanasau bhūtvā́ sakhā́yāv iva sácā́vahai ||
Down, as a bowstring from the bow, I let thy wrath fall from the heart; that, becoming of one mind, we two may fare together, even as friends in fellowship.
En bas, comme la corde de l’arc hors de l’arc, je fais tomber ta colère hors du cœur ; afin que, devenus d’un seul esprit, nous deux allions ensemble — comme des amis en concorde.
