Sukta 34
न त्वा पूर्वा ओषधयो न त्वा तरन्ति या नवाः । विबाध उग्रो जङ्गिडः परिपाणः सुमङ्गलः
ná tvā pū́rvā óṣadhayo ná tvā taranti yā́ návāḥ | víbādha ugró jaṅgíḍaḥ paripā́ṇaḥ sumaṅgálaḥ ||
No herbs of old surpass thee, nor those which now are new. A fierce repeller is Jāṅgiḍa, a guardian, most auspicious.
Ni les plantes médicinales (oṣadhi) d’autrefois ne te surpassent, ni celles qui sont nouvelles aujourd’hui. Jāṅgiḍa est un repousseur farouche, un gardien, très faste et de bon augure.
