इन्द्रस्त्रातोत वृत्रहा परस्फानो वरेण्यः । स रक्षिता चरमतः स मध्यतः स पश्चात् स पुरस्तान्नो अस्तु

IAST Transliteration

índras trā́tót vr̥trahā́ parasphā́nó váreṇyaḥ | sá rakṣitā́ caramatáḥ sá madhyatáḥ sá paścā́t sá purástān no astu

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

Indra is saviour, yea Vṛtra-slayer, the crusher, the choice-worthy. Let him be our guardian from the farthest bound, from the midst; let him be from behind, let him be before us.

Translation

Indra est sauveur, oui Vṛtrahan, l’écraseur, le digne d’être choisi. Qu’il soit notre gardien depuis la limite la plus lointaine, depuis le milieu ; qu’il soit derrière nous, qu’il soit devant nous.
