Sukta 3
अथर्वा पूर्णं चमसं यमिन्द्रायाबिभर्वाजिनीवते । तस्मिन् कृणोति सुकृतस्य भक्षं तस्मिनिन्दुः पवते विश्वदानीम्
átharvā pūrṇáṃ camasáṃ yám índrā́yā́bibhar vājínīvate | tásmin kṛṇóti sukṛtásya bhakṣáṃ tásmin índuḥ pavate viśvadā́nīm ||
Atharvan beareth forth the brimming cup which he presenteth unto Indra, the Lord of winning might. Therein he fashioneth the portion of the well-wrought merit; therein the bright Soma-drop is purified, bestowing gifts on every side.
Atharvan apporte la coupe pleine à ras bord, qu’il présente à Indra, seigneur de la puissance victorieuse. Là, il dispose la part du mérite bien accompli ; là, la goutte lumineuse de Soma se purifie, répandant des dons de toutes parts.
